So I have a e6600 at stock speed, 8800gts@stockspeed, 2x1gb corsair xms2 675/5400. Does anyone know the approximate lifetime of each hardware if I overclock at a certain point?
The lifespan of a cpu is around a decade, give or take. A proper overclock might reduce the lifespan by a year or two.. not much really. The GPU, being The same as a CPU but graphics oriented can expect the same lifespan. I believe RAM has a slightly longer life but Has the same minor life reduction when overclocked.
