hey I have lightscribe on my dvd writer but I never been able to use it do I need to have a special software to use it? (which one?) do I need to burn data on the disc before I use lightscribe?any suggestion welcomed.thanks
 
When I bought my lightscribe drive, it came with a version of Nero that had a lightscribe burning option. Did your drive come with software disks? Or as is? You certainly don't have to burn the label before you burn the data, though.
 
well I have a version of sonic or something like that I checked it but it does not have nothing about lightscribe it has something about cd labels I guess the ones you print on the paper its sonic digital media v7 maybe its an older version
 
Actually theres an option in both sonic and nero...but before that you need to have LightScribe CDs...they're almost the same price as normal CDs...I use sonic...and all you do is go to Tools...then Labels...then Choose Disc Label...and where it says options click on it...and the drive selected should be Lightscribe...then just make ur disc label n select print..and itll put the label on your cd...its pretty nice technology to have...i mean sure you can use a sharpy...but hell this looks cool lol
 
ok I found the option on my sonic and I think I can make it working but I have one more question what about if I want to burn a picture or something from my computer is it possible to do it (with sonic or any software)?thanks
 
yea just click on background and scroll down to MORE...then just browse your PC...btw you have almost the same pc as mine...i have an hp a1310n,....but mies an athlon so you suck ...haha just kidding..enjoy ur lightscribe though...ohh but be ware...if u burn an image on the disc it takes like 20-30 minutes...
 
by the way wat's the difference betwen your athlon and my intelP4?thanks for helping me with lightscribe I'm ok now
 
your welcome...well im not a big computer buff...especially hardware...but everyone seems to prefer the athlon over pentium...couldn't tell you the specifics of why...but ive read round that athlons are better for gaming while pentiums are for multi tasking...i was only kidding round though...btw how much u pay for ur pc?
 
mine was like $679 in us dollars....but i gotta $50 rebate from HP and a $100 rebate from the store i bought it from...so $479 without the monitor or warranty...i bought it in january as well...i havent been able to find this product for the same price again...guess the store rebate was a one time thingy
