Lightweight text editor?

I use the MS Wordpad every day, but recently I updated to Win10 and the new Wordpad has the problem that its default setting is a 1.15 line spacing, and, more importantly, "add 10pt space after paragraphs" and this, as best as I can tell, is not changeable (that is to say not possible to set a different default setting).

So now I'm looking for an alternative.

I'm looking for something very lightweight, all I need is the ability to underline and bolding and coloring font would be a plus, but not essential.

Anyone got any suggestions?
