Limited connectivity

Hi Guys, i have a problem with my internet connection. Every time i try to connect to the internet with my laptop, i always get the limited connectivity. Last time its working very well and then i don't know what happened i just cant surf internet anymore with that limited connectivity. But with my PC the internet connection is working just fine. I scan my laptop with AVG and i didn't find any virus or malware, and im sure my modem is fine because its working if im using my PC to surf internet.

I have already inform my internet provider and they are kind enough to send somebody. And the person said that there is some problem with my laptop. But when i tried my laptop in office i manage to connect to the internet. Now i don't know what is causing the problem.

By the way im using window vista ultimate 32bit.

Can another laptop connect to the wireless network and surf the web? If so, it's your computer. If another laptop is having the same issues, it's your router. Have you tried unplugging the modem & router for a minute and plugging everything back in? That normally resets most modem/router problems for me.
 
Hi Guys, im not using wifi. I already tried unplugging and plugging back again. But its still not working. I don't think its my laptop because when i tried it in my office its working fine and also my modem its working well if im using it with my PC. Im only using ADSL modem, i don't have a router.

The ethernet cable that you use for the laptop, have you tried it using your pc to see if the cable is bad? Is your pc hooked up at the same time as the laptop? What is the model number of your modem?
 
Hi Johnb35, im using the same ethernet cable for my laptop and my PC. The model of my modem is RIGER DB102.
 
If you go to your CMD (Hold down the start button on your keyboard then press R at the same time > type in cmd then enter) and you type in ipconfig, can I please get the numbers next to IP Address and Default Gateway.
 
problem solve

hi guys i can surf internet again with my laptop. I've created new user account and try to connect and walah... its working. anyway thank you guys....
