I have an linksys wrt160n router. The signal is so poor it wont even connect at 54mb in the next room over. My old wireless g router connected at 54mb out side my house, and I am having a problem connecting at full speed in the next room. Anyways, Why is this new router so POOR with its wireless signal and speed? This router is supposed to be extended range wireless N and I cant even connect at a G speed. Can someone help me with the settings or tip me on getting this to work correctly? I have 2 wireless N laptops and 4 wireless G laptops that connect to the network. Cant even get the wireless N computers to connect at the N speed. Any help would be great full! Thanks!

Dude did you setup with the CD and all that with a computer that connects to it wired?
I have the same router, and i do not have the same problems, mines been going straight, except every now and then it would heat up and drop the wireless.

I used the CD at first. then I restored defaults and set it up manually. Its touchy, Some times I get a great connection on the other side of the house, Then sometimes I can barley connect.

I'm on a couple of other PC forums and that router consistently gets blowful opinions.
If I were you, I would try like hell to get one of the older WRT54x series. Even Newegg still has 'em.
