I had linux on my old PIII once, but I forget which version it was. Whatever, I remember having to go though a good bit just to get a freaking MP3 to play. So, my question is what version of Linux is the most compatable with codecs(assuming one can use your basic windows codecs), DVD's, MP3s, and other such formats. I would like to try and start using Linux as my main OS, but first I need my music and videos
OUCH! Some months back I was toying around with Red Hat's Fedora Core 4 distro and had fun trying to get it running let alone get sound into it.
