Linux Compatible Paintshop Pro?

I'm looking for some Paintshop software or a like clone compatible with openSuse Linux 10.3. I was trying out Inkscape that came with Suse 10.3 but I don't really like it because you can't save pictures in .jpg format. Can anyone give me some direction?
 
Ah thanks ImSati! The Gimp is exactly what I was looking for and already with my openSuse operating system.
