linux downloading problem

i tried downloading fedora i think it was, and i had a cd-r, but i saw that just one of the ISOs was like 630 MBs...how can i fit that all on one disk? i thought about trying it with a dvd-r, but then i would have to find a computer with a dvd burner...which i dont have. i didnt have time to finish the disk, so i am just thinking now that maybe after one cd is full, could i somehow start another one, effectively spacing out one ISO to multiple CDs? im deeply troubled by this

80 minuet CDs hold 700MB, and use Alcohol 120% it resizes it somehow... i managed to fit a 850MB iso onto it

oh, i should have realized that...i guess now the only problem is finding a mirror thatisnt really bogged down. the fastest download speed i could get up to was like 70 kbps (= about 10 hours downloading time) i wonder if theres a good time to download it, like mid-morning eastern time...
