ok my computer, as many know, has been broken for the past several months. a problem with dll. files caused it to freeze up on the windows loading screen. i tried installing linux yesterday, and it was met with error after error, but then something miraculous. i turn off my computer and back on, and much to my amazement, windows started up like nothing had happenend!!!!! i toyed with it awhile, and found the linux quick fix was extremely partial, and i have a time-bomb of a computer on my hands. i did a system restore, and that stopped a few problems, but there is still one large problem: anything that ends with dll. sends my computer to the blue screen with an error that says: windows has been shut down in order to keep from harming your computer. this happens whenever a program is installed, uninstalled, updated, and any other thing in a computer that has anything to do with dll.
are there any ways to fix a dll problem? i think ccleaner might be able to handle it, but i cant install programs remember? any ideas?
