Linux Internet Connection

Hi, I managed to get Linux fedora 7 to dual boot with Vista, but I'm having trouble getting an internet connection.

I have an atheros wireless card on said computer, I compiled and installed the driver, it even recognizes it now. But I can't get a connection.

This is driving me crazy and any help would be appreciated.

Wireless as a whole is often a bit tricky to set up with Linux systems as a whole. Wired connections are recognized right away, but wireless...eh. My advice would be to visit the Fedora Forums, specifically the Hardware or Networking Folders. Chances are someone has had the same exact problem and has a fix for it.

The atheros was no hassle here on mandriva with madwifi as I remember. I had more trouble with ndiswrapper and the netgear marvel chipset, tho that was mostly digging out the if and sys files from windows and figuring out I had to rename the sys file :)

As said, maybe on an FC group...

What does ifconfig say and so forth, and lspci, etc.
