Linux is good for .. erm gaming?

alright .. don't laugh if i'am making a fool of myself coz i don't guess all these games are even made for linux .. but if i'am wrong here , then is it good for it?? or linux is overall a good operating system ..??

Have you used linux before? It's a huge pain in the ass, you have to get emulators and everything, and in the end it onlywill run a few games. Linux does not support (at least when i was using it) very many video cards either.

More support is comming out. There are many commercial games that run natively in linux, like doom3. But generally speaking Linux still doesn't have the support of most video game manufacturers, which is stupid because that's a big number of could have been sold units. Right now, XP is the best for games, then comes mac and then linux.
