Is there anywhere (online) where I can learn about linux(terminal and general info)?

I dont know about online but a good way to learn is to try it out. Download a live cd and boot from it and mess around. Or you can do as I am doing and get Vmware workstation and install ubuntu into a virtual machine.

I have done both of those. I have VirtualBox on my desktop and openSuse on my Laptop. I want to learn semi-advanced stuff -- the stuff you can't learn by messing around

Hehe try hacking. You'll see it's much more natural to hack with Linux. Not to mention that a hack is stronger, Linux is made for hacking
