Well, I'm trying to learn a lot about Linux, and I was wondering if anyone knew if there was some sort of special Linux software that you can open as a program or with a CD (boot or normal). I don't want to chose the OS at startup, but I want to be able to open Linux and use it normally. The things I really need are:
Open/Boot Linux without chosing the OS at startup
Save and write to normal hard drive
Free Software to do this.
I currently have Knoppix, but it is a pain to start.
Also, I don't care I'll need to use a CD to boot Linux.
It needs to work with Windows
