Good things about Linux (Ubuntu):
- Nice animation. I disklike the way Vista windows close down (pushing away from the top, as if falling over backward = sex/getting laid?
). I love the way Gnome windows close down (pushing away from the bottom, almost like bowing away).
- Very easy on the hard disk. I can see my laptop HD lasting 3X longer if I do the bulk of my "work" on Linux. Also easy on USB HD's.
- Love the customizable themes/fonts/icons, etc.
Bad things about Linux:
- gedit (UTF-8) text files are incompatible with MSDOS programs (ANSI).
- no audio enhancement (ie. SRS Audio Sandbox).
- Avi video & audio are slightly out of synch, even with VLC media player.
- Flash does not work on Opera (my most favorite browser).
Any suggestions to overcome those problems?
