But i know next to nothing about running Linux
but sometimes they are still quite annoying.

Still you say it's better?
Care to explain?
AMEN to that!Xelogen said:this is a simple argument.... windows is better unless you actually learn how to use Linux. Windows focusses on being user friendly, linux focuses on just being a dam good operating system![]()
lol gud on ya. once you switch youll never switch back (except maybe if you want to use certain windows software)4W4K3 said:I don't disagree, I still use Windows. Am in the process of learning Linux and switching over.

I say it's better because in the few weeks i ran Red Hat 9 i had less errors/crashes than in one day with Windows XP and my IRQ conflicts/BSOD's.
Windows is annoying when: You have to spend money to first get it
they monitor your usage and activities
You buy more of there products and after switching network cards your OS and all other M$ software has to be re-authenticated and sometimes even re-purchased if you can't convince them to givve you a new activation code.
I switched my network card and my M$ Office 2003 stopped working, called them, and they wouldn't re-activate it for me. Ended up having to use OpenOffice since i can't afford another copy. Haven't gone back since.

Again, such frequent crashes is a sign of a badly configured (or even faulty) hardware.
Yes, in a perfect world everyone would work for free (this of course include you).
They do?
huh?
Unbelievable.
