It all depends on what you want to use it for, and what system you want to install it on. I prefer Debian. It's great as a software development environment.
And then there's the other side of the coin where there's so many things you can do in Windows that you simply can't do in Linux.
I will stand by PC_Eye and agree, linux sucks at some thing**, just stop your rant will you , we know you're a fanboyViruses, spyware, adware, BSOD, info sent to Microsoft without your knowledge, updates installed without your knowledge, secret hidden files that contain rather in-depth info about *you* that the Windows Software will hide from you...
How right you are.

no seriously, just the way you reply to the threads. and i didn't say you're a jerk, it's just that you mentioned every damn windows error like they should never appear. that was like really boycotting windows**, lol, you know like someone really pissed off

I'm not trying to be a jerk, and I never was. Honestly, I'd like to hear your argument for it.

Likewise you'll find some things that can be done while running some variation of the UNIX platform you won't find in Windows or Mac.
note some apps don't work or if they do they work with flaws, they have to be in the Crossover stable list.Of course I can also run a lot of win apps (and games) on my linux desktop with crossover or cedega...
