Hey everyone. I just ordered my very own Tt Rocket Liquid Cooling Kit for £72. It will be delivered in about a week so i thought i better come on here and have an ask around for tips or tricks that anyone has.

Basically i want to know if there is any special things to do when connecting the pipes or positioning the pump. Anything would be really handy.

Thanks

You should build the loop out of the case first to test for leaks. Don't forget to cut the tubing long enough to reach all the parts too.

I heard of that before, running it outside of the case. One question..... How do you power it if it is just sitting on the desk, doesnt it need to tap into the ATX power connector on the MOBO????

1. External units some times come with their own power although unfortunately this is rare now
2. You dont need to have the CPU in the loop to power the rocket :)

Aaah, ok. So i would just simply connect it up to the correct power connector as it would be normaly and just leave it pumping away in the loop by itself??

The instructions that come with the thingy will do a much better and detailed job of explainign but essentially yes

I dont like Tt coolers anymore. Too much ripping off of other companies ideas and generally being more bling bling than function.

Lol, ok. I only went for the Tt rocket because it was on special offer and it was cheap.
Fair enough ... i dont mind it when its cheap ... but too often i see Tt products overpriced

It's because they have a big product base and people become fooled into thinking that they are as big/sucessful/good quality as some of the other makes lik ZALMAN (which is a ver good make).

Their equivalent to the Tt Rocket is the ZALMAN Reserator. Its a lot better but this is reflected in the price.
