Liquid Cooling what to do?... Internal Or External

i have been thinking about it and im going to run liquid cooling

what i have decided on is what type of system to use Int. or Ext.

i was looking at the Big Water system and the Aquarius III system

i like them both the big water system for its rad and the Aquarius for its CPU and Water temp display

is there a way that i can have the Big water with a display in the 5.25" drive bays(2 bay max) that will tell me the temp of the CPU, Video Card, Ram, Water, internal case air, and Room temp?

and maybe control the fan on the rad based on the temp of the water flowing inside the system to help with sound control?


My Case will be Enermax CSX656TA-B with a 460W power supply at the very least

was just looking through bigfootcomputers.com and i also would be willing to build a system from parts

my main thought is the temp monitoring display, guess i was asking for 6 probes but i could get do with 4 (water, cpu, ram,VC)

would a 460W PSU be enough if the pump and fans need to pull from it?

was looking and found a CoolerMaster Aerogate 2

whats your thoughts on this device?

Sure, build one from various mix and match parts :)

Be a bit careful with them, some of their prices are a tad on the expensive side

Depends on the peltier (if any)
 
whats the deal with a Peltier? is that the deal that will draw heat through trading hot for cold?

You make one side ubercold at the expense of making the otherside uberhot. The watercooling unit cools the hot side :)
 
Peltier's are a bit expensive as you need a seperate powersupply and a watercooling kit...but if money isn't an issue and you really need low temps (can get in the negatives i believe) then it's probably your best option. They are really cool in my opinion...always interested me.
 
i see i dont need to freeze it lol im not going that hard core, money is an issue but i am willing to spend it to get a decent cooling system

although i will keep them in mind for down the road

Why not set-up your WC from mix and match hardware, like what I did, you can choose your parts carefully with a little bit of researching and you can choose the best ones. Ived just finish my WC just a month ago and my temp runs at 28c idle and 34c load. as what 4W4K3 said peltier is a bit expensive. :cool:
 
i was thinking that and thought about the Swiftech H20-220-64 system since it will fit the budget and looks like a sound system

But that would (should) be the major selling point of watercooling. :)

I live in Canada (Ontario) ... with the windows open ..... all the time ... and the heat system has been sabotaged in my room (by me) :P

they sell special peltier slimline PSU's...but i believe a regualr PSU will work (might have to get liek an adapter or sumthin...but it won't be too expensive)

They will work ... the tricky part is to get the peltier to power up in synch with the rest of the system :)
 
ok

what steps need to be taken to prevent damage from condensation? since its able to dip below freezin?

im very intregued on this topic and im seriously thinking about dumping a crap load to see just how cold i can keep my stuff running at

was just looking at a Coolermaster CM Stacker case to house this project lol

looking at Swiftech and Danger Den for their blocks/pelt's are there any others that i should look at too?

Just a comment: since your setup doesnt support dual channel, its prolly be better not to spend a whopper on that kinda config :)
