List of command prompts and outcomes for XP...

Hello,

I was wondering if there was somewhere to get a list of the various command prompts, along with their outcomes, used in Windows XP? For instance, when I click "run" on the start menu and type "command" in the "run" dialog box, I get a black screen. In this screen I type various commands such as "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew" or "dxdiag" I really like using the commands, so I want to find a more exhaustive list of them, along with what they are used for/outcomes. Or just tell more about them and their various uses in general. Thanks for your non-sarcastic reply. I appreciate it!

What's a batch file?

A file with an extension of .BAT, contains a list of commands or program routines that the computer will execute in sequence.

^^^ Exactly. It is kinda like a .exe except everything is done in the command prompt.
