Liteon 24x

So i bought the liteon today for my system im building. I started reading the book when i noticed it says i need a pentium 4, 1.3ghz or higher. Im planning on taking it back tomorrow but a lot of friends keep telling me it should be compatible with my i7 CPU... Opinions?

It does say Pentium 4 1.3ghz. or higher doesn't it? I think the i7 is a little higher.

OOhhh, see, i never looked up ANY information on pentium 4s. I just figured they had some real poopie ones with low GHz and some more advanced ones with a higher rating GHz...
