Live Free or Die Hard-Question

I just got back from seeing the movie "live free, or die hard"...it was a good movie. Has anyone seen it?

My question is, is this movie realistic, or far from it? Can you really control traffic lights, hack into power grids, shut down wall street, and all that? I am just wondering if this movie is realistic?

very wrong thread. But just to answere your question i would say no. if there could there would be way more accidents. also if there were, there security would almost be unhackable. So no, not possible, but 1% could exist

If your a good enough hacker, you can do anything. I know externally you can control traffic lights with an IR remote control, and they are computer controlled so you could hack that.
 
Ummm like the other guy said you could hack into anything that is conputer controlled. Where i live about 10 or more years ago they were going to make the traffic lights so that they would change green for oncoming emergency vehicles by putting a trsnsponder in each vehicle, then they thought that ppl might get a hold of the technogy so they decided no to.

Something sort of along the same line is, where I live just about every traffic light has a camera, actually 4 cameras. All the freeways have cameras along them to. Same for all the states arond us. All these cameras can be accessed online at trafficland.com or some other web sites. A neighbor got in a traffic jam on a saturday on a freeway. She HAD to get some where. She called me , i got on the net. I looked at all the cameras on the freeway till i found the accident, then I told her what street to get off on. I wathced at each camera on the street untill she passed, then went to the next camera. Then I told her where to turn and waited for her to show up at the traffic light. She got back on the freeway above the accident and saved her about an hour.

ps we also have sign boards above our freeways every 10 miles or so that are controlled via radio signals, i always wanted to put my own custom message on the signs.
 
in the uk you can change a traffic light with a strobe light
not going to go into how its very illegal

Illegal drugs are the worst thing to ever hit society, just think how more creative the musicians would have been if their minds were not dulled by drugs.
