live365 in media player

for what i use i just click the link to the /listen.pls file and it opens under a program of my choice (VLC media player is what i recommend).

but for live365 they do not use this feature. you must listen to it through their online page. they do this because they can pummel you with ads there, and not in WMP.

i agree, your better off using shoutcast.com . My favorite brand of "internet radio" is 181.fm. You can even stream it right in your browser if you want.

I agree, i have a customer though that uses Windows media player. When you are on live365's web page, if you click help, the 4th or 5th topic deals with "players" and one is listed as windows media player and also winamp. So it can be done. I think I figured out what the customer is using.
If you start windows media player 10, then click guide, wait till it opens,
then the box on the right select internet radio, then you can select radio stations to put in "my radio stations" to play... the preselected ones ate no good, use my radio stations. So I think that is what he is doing. I will know soon i am on my way there.:)
