My father in law has parkinsons and signs of dementure. He needs his computer for a few basic functions but because of his condition every time we visit his computer is totally messed up because of what he has clicked on. Is there any way I can set it up so that he can only go on the programs and sites that he need and no others:confused:

You can try making a Guest Account in Control Panel, if you have Windows, although I'm not so sure for other Operating Systems (Control Panel > User Accounts, in most cases).

That way, no major computer settings are altered. You will have to log him into this Guest account, and password-protect the main "Adminsitrator" account.

You could also hide the taskbar, (better if you put it on top or on the sides, at least it won't be so easy to find) and delete desktop items which you do not want him to use, and put in only those which he should use,
