Locked myself out. Please help

To keep a long story short I was in system properties - computer name clicked on change and changed the highlighted box from domain to workgroup and after I restarted my computer it won't let me log in with my password and username. I get an error message saying make sure your username and domain are correct... The only options I have are username and password and I don't see a way of changing the domain. I would like to just format the hard drive and do a clean install of windows but I can't figure out how to format the hard drive without getting into windows and for some reason it won't load from my XP CD even after setting the CD-ROM as the default in BIOS and there aren't any recovery disks available for my computer. Any suggestions?
 
Have you tried to boot Windows under Safe mode?
Google about the workgroup thing,I don't think you must format the hard disk cause of that.
