So I put a password on my windows 8 hp pavilion 23 b017c I think. It may have lost it as the CMOS battery died. Now everything I try to get in to access my bios to enable virtualization it says I put in the wrong key.should I reset it and if so Is there a way to safely do that. I also cannot change my boot order as it is locked as well. It really sucks:(

Got your manual handy? Discharge the CMOS and it'll lose the password to the BIOS and let you in.

It is on the bios itself. I cannot change anything whatsoever and my family would freak if they saw me taking apart my computer. I do it a lot but not with my own whitch kinda scares me. Is there a software to do this.
To be more specific it is on windows 8.1 6gb of ddr3 500gb hard drive. And yes I had the choice of a terabyte computer and yes I regret getting the 500gb
