i now work in an office with my own computer. problem is because im not attached to no server i cant lock my workstation and there has been a few times that people have been on my computer. its all work related but thats not the point and its people in the office above who may have done this and its also happened to the ther 3 that work in the office. we are not getting a server as we all work freelance and sometimes our computers are here there and everywhere and they are brought home and such. so is there a way that can i lock my workstation even if its a stand alone machine and i have to enter my password each time i go back into it. thanks!!! :D

Are you running XP? If so make sure you have fast user switching enabled in the control panel / user accounts box under "change the way users log on or off". You need to have the welcome screen active for that as well. Then, so long as you have a passworded account, when you click start/log off/switch user, it maintains your workstation but brings you to the welcome screen, which you need the password to get back out of.

either what Magicman said, or..
