Hi, my friend bought a Dell Latitude CPi R-Series, and it kept locking up on him. So he gave it to me to fix. Well, eh, I can't figure it out either. I thought it was the system, cuz it's used, so I wiped the hard drive, and in the process of reinstalling, it still kept locking up. It seems to run DOS programs fine though. Any ideas as to what might be causing the lockups? I keep hoping it's a no-brainer and I'm just having a brain-fart. Well, thanks for any suggestions u guys can offer.

Check the memory, you might want to (1) run a full memory check and (2) try downclocking the memory
