I bought a computer from craigslist and it has a network domain log in screen. Is there a way to disable it and make it a regular Home pc? It is running on Windows XP.

If you are able to log in you can disable it... do you have the password to login?

Yes I believe so. I do not know if it is the admin one but I can give it a try.

You never really answered my question. If you have a login, yes you can disable the login. If you cant you cant. If you dont have the password to login you can reformat the computer, or try to get the pw from the Cl guy... unless it is stolen, and you just received stolen property...

Yes I have the log in. How do I disable it.

Right Click my computer, properties. Under computer name tab, click change. Add the computer to a workgroup instead of a domain. Then you will always log into the local machine.

If you don't have the password just go into safe mode and delete the username
