Is there anyway to remove the log on screen for windows xp? I don't have a password or anything, I have removed the welcome screen, but I still need to log on, is there anyway to get rid of this?

I think this is what you're after....
Go to....
Start>> Control Panel>> User Accounts>> Change way users log on and off

Then read the setting options
I think you uncheck Use welcome screen and use classic screen...that should help

IS that what you mean?

Good thing we don't have to depend on him for anything.

To disable that screen, just run this file. It will do everything for you.

ORR You can try this:

Click Start and Run
Type "Control Userpasswords2" and press enter.
Uncheck the box for "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
Click Apply and Ok.

If all else fails, grab TWEAKUI from Microsoft. It will do it for free, and a ton of other stuff as well if you want it to.

why won't unchecking 'use the welcome screen' option not do the trick, under control panels > accounts > change the way users log in? It changes the log in screen to the windows 2000 (classic) interface where you have to type in user and password and it won't display users at the log in screen.

Because that will make it that you have an NT logon screen. In other words, you'll have to enter a name and password in the appropriate boxes.
