Logitech Cordless Mouseman Optical mouse

Will this mouse work on either Windows 95 or 98 without the cd for it? I mean, will windows automatically detect and install the mouse?

I would not think so. Maybe I am wrong though. One thing is for sure...you need an upgrade!

I'm quite sure it'll work with 98 without a driver. I forget about 95 though; USB support was pretty poor back then

Probably not, but you should be able to get the drivers online to get it to work.

This is not for me. I have XP Pro(eventually it will be Vista). Anyways my mom has either 95 or 98 on her computer at church where she works. She is still using a mouse that has the ball and does not have a scroll wheel So that is why she is getting a different mouse if it works.

If I find the cd for it, will it work?

Just go through the Logitech website and get the drivers. I'm sure they've got drivers dating back beyond Win XP.
