Logitech G15 keyboard question

Hey guys what's the difference between the old version of G15 and the new version? and also which one is better? any pros or cons? I'm looking to buy it but i i'm not sure which one is better. Thanks.

I think the new one they fixed the keys so it didnt make so much noise when you type. I think the new one also has red and blue backlights, instead of just red or blue

No the new revision is orange backlight, the old one was blue, you can only change brightness not colour

They reduced the amount of macro keys, redesigned the LCD area (Old one was a flip up, new one is integrated) they also fixed how the old revision the paint would wear off too fast

When my Gen1 G15 broke, I bought a used Gen1 instead of buying new. Since I don't like the new one, but that's just me.

Orange backlight, not blue
Screen is always "open", you can vary the angle or close the screen on original
Less G key's, the first gen has 3x as many as the new one

I like the old one more than the new one, those things i listed are mostly disadvantages to the new one imo. Ive had mine since it came out(had to rma it because it was affected by the paint wearing off the keys like any early ones, but the later ones like the one i got back had that issue fixed).

I am however thinking of upgrading myself to a G19 or Cyborg just due to the age of my keyboard personally.

I don't own one. I only have a G5 mouse

The ones from the first couple batches of manufacturing had a different type of keys, the letters were painted instead of being laser etched or whatever. Not remember the specifics but it happened to almost all the ones sold during the first few months they were made. Like i said, i bought mine the week it came out.

I almost bought a G15 when I did my build, and I definitely would have chosen a first Generation.
