Logitech Keyboard no longer allows application shortcuts

Hello,

I recently purchased a Logitech Keyboard and Mouse which work perfect. However, when I run an application such as Macromedia Flash 8 which uses the F5 key as a shortcut to create a frame, the shortcut no longer works.

The Logitech keyboard confguration tool gives me the ability to apply a function to any of the F# buttons, such as F1, F2 and so on. Although I have not applied a shortcut to any of these buttons.

So how come the application shortcuts for programs such as Macromedia Flash still wont work? Is there a way around this problem?

Thanks,
Oli

What model keyboard is it? Some have a switch (eg: G11 or G15) that turns certain keys off, to keep them from interfering with games.

did you some how turn the hot keys off, or did you get a driver update, cause i had the same prblem with my sound card i screwed something up and had to reformat the computer and i have a 5.1 sound card but the basic driver that came on the computer wouldnt support it i tried and tried just updating the driver and it wouldnt work what i had to do is download the new driver uninstall the old one and install the new one manually

I had to update the firmware and mine started working great. Go to Logitech's support page. Run the program and it should be okay

This happened to me, there is a tickbox in the software where you can disable the hot keys.

Try reinsiatalling the softweareif you cant find it
