Long waiting times

When i start up my PC it takes ages to load the desktop

like it freezes up then loads everything and sometimes once everything has loaded the whole thing freezes up


specs in my sig, what could i do ?

Boot to safe mode, does it still do it? Could be software or driver related. Disable programs from running at bootup and see if that solves the issue.

It'd be a good idea to first check out which programs are loading on startup.

Do this by typing msconfig in Run or Search. Then select "Selective Startup". Then click the "Startup" tab. The programs that are listed with the boxes checked are the ones that are starting when you boot up the computer. You can unselect any unnecessary programs and then try restarting. Hope that helps.

ive cancelled some things from loading at startup so that problems gone.


Now after about 30minutes or so the whole computer will freeze up

How long ago did you build this system? Have you ran Ccleaner? It might not be a bad idea to use samsungs drive utility to scan for errors.

been about a month now, this freezing problem has only just started happening and yes ive used ccleaner

its not a legit copy of windows but its working fine on my laptop

The only other thing i can think of is maybe some software is causing the freeze.

ive reinstalled windows and im still getting the same problem, dont know what it is.
