Look for a ballpark total of $420-ish or so plus shipping, but before the $40 barebones rebate.

For the money, you can always get better by building your own, but it's up to you if you want to attempt it.

well i dont know much about good parts as the comptuer im using now is crapping out on me...i already have my own copy of xp....*(not a fan of vista)*

but if people can recommend stuff to me...as i am pretty much a noob it would be great.

will be used for my college work and a little bit of gaming...like madden 08 nothing to graphic.

i already have a cd/dvd burner and i can use the 250 gb hd that i have in my current computer.
