Looking at getting a different CPU cooler

Hey guys, how's it going? Haven't been on here in a while, anyways right now I currently have a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro cooling my Intel q6600 oc'ed to 3.2. I am looking at something different. I am not that impressed with this one. Idle temps for 2 cores are upper 40's and upper 30's for the other 2 cores. I would like it be a little cooler than that.

I would like to have one that doesn't require taking the motherboard out although I will if necessary. What would you suggest?

get a Tuniq Tower LED,ask Kornowski on here why theyre very good.

wish i had brought one now.

Ok, thanks. Do you have to remove the motherboard to install the Zalman 9700? I would rather not remove the motherboard but I will if need be.

What is so good about the Tuniq Tower LED? What about Xigmatech coolers, are they any good? I have heard some good things about them.

What about thermal paste, does that make a big difference? Right now I am using Arctic Silver 5.

Yes you'll need to remove the motherboard for both the 9700 and tuniq tower. If you don't want to remove the motherboard, look into Scythe and Xigmatech coolers, many of them use the standard push pins.

Okay, I am thinking about getting the Tuniq Tower. Would you think it would fit inside a Thermaltake Armor VA8000BWS case? There is only 2-3 inches of space on the top and back side of the heatsink.
