Looking For A Firewall

Hello all.

Well, a friend of mine is in search of a firewall for his computer although he said he didnt want to use Kerio, Sygate, Norton nor Zone Alarm. My recommendations would straight away be Kerio and/or Sygate as those are the two I have found to be best, and unfortunately those are the two, besides the others he mentioned he didn't want, that I know of. What others are there? And are they any good?

He doesnt want to use some of the best firewalls available? I guess tell him to get SP2 and use Windows Firewall, he'll be begging for Zonealarm or Sygate within a week.

Well anyways, a google search really only revealed those ones since they are they best but I found a site that posted this one.

I use zonealarm and I've never had anything bad happen to my comp while on the net. I have tested to see if it worked once, I turned it off for 5 minutes to see if it actually helped....I got about 6 viruses/spyware apps within those 5 minutes it was off....so after that I've never turned it off.

I don't think additional firewalls play an important role in protecting the pc. Windows Firewall is enough as long as you got good antivirus and antispyware installed in your pc.
