hey again peoples, im looking for a new graphics card preferably a geforce that can run new games like fallout 3 and crysis with no problems (very good graphics) what should i get,, my processor is intel core 2 quad and im running the nforce 780i evga.. thanks!

i suggest the GTX 260 if you must get an nvidia... but my personal preference would be ATI, given how dissatisfied i am with my 7800gt. the thing didnt support HDR and AA simultaneously, and ATI cards generally handled the technology better, and the newer ones still do.

imo get the HD 4850, or better yet the HD 4870. they seem like the better choice to go with.

There isn't many cards out there that will run Crysis at a playable level when the settings are at very high. If it has to be GeForce, go with the 9800 GTX+ or GTX 260. Otherwise get the 4870.

I would get the ATi 4870, or the 4870x2 when it comes out. The 4870x2 would be basically like doing a Crossfire setup in one slot, which is good because your mobo doesn't support crossfire. The 4870 is still a very good card, but if you have money to burn, go for the 4870x2. Or at least wait for it to come out so the 4870 will be cheaper. And if you must go NVidia I would get the GTX 260. The GTX 280 is better but not for the price, plus you could SLI another one later.

The 280 GTX is the best performing single card on the market today...but it's expensive:( about $450 across the board right now.

I think the best price:performance ratio right now is the 4870, great card for only $290. He is right, the 4870x2 will be a sick card!
