Looking for a good 27in+ monitor, how are the korean monitors?

Hey guys im looking for a good 27inch monitor, which means at least 1080p, I have a gtx 970 and dont mind using dual link dvi. These korean monitors on ebay look quite appealing because of the qhd, overclocking a ips/pls panel. I dont have a prefence between pls and ips so as long as I can get a good one that is affordable. I cannot spend more then $600 CAD after tax, shipping duties, EVERYTHING etc, so I guess my budget would be $200-$500. Preferably cheaper the better. I will use for mild gaming and movie watching, and server stuff in the future for university.
This one looked interesting, seems to be the same panel most of the more popular korean ips monitors are using, and it's only $200 even if it is a refurb, im wondering if I should take the risk?

Looking at that ebay link, I say it's a no go. Personally what stands out is that I've never heard of such brand (which there's many out there I haven't), but the main fact is that the monitor is also refurbished, but by the seller.

Here's a few links from PCPartPicker:

Asus 27": http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-ve278h

BenQ 27": http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/benq-monitor-xl2720z

AOC 28" (3840 x 2160): http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/aoc-monitor-u2868pqu

EDIT: I haven't heard of AOC but the image on that monitor may be the clearest. BenQ is quite popular in the professional gaming world, and Asus is just an all around good company. Personally, I'd probably go for the BenQ if I was purchasing and trying to spend the minimal amount of money but there's some other (lots of) great contenders here: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/parts/mo...=1,3&H=60,144&r=384002160,256001440,192001080

The Asus seems a bit basic in adjustability for $200+ I would skip any 27" @ 1080 unless you have bad eyesight.

BenQ is way too expensive for his needs. He said mild gaming, some multimedia.

AOC is out of his price range.

25" not 27" but this is a 21x9 aspect ratio. Good for a wider view when gaming and a bit more room for work at 2560x1080

This BenQ is on a big sale for $120 off. $480

Thanks for the greats suggestions, I am now seriously considering the benq 27in QHD IPS monitor but I am also debating their 27in AMVA 1080P monitor as it is only going for $200 right now which seems like a steal.
Here's the review of the IPS screen. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/benq_gw2765ht.htm
Here's the review of the AMVA monitor. Which seems to have less "lag".

What are your thoughts?
Everything about the the IPS panel looked great except for the " signal processing lag". So I might be doing a bit of research in what that is and will hopefully come to a better understanding and be able to make a better decision.

What do you really want to get out of the monitor? Can you answer these for us

do you need more work area?

Are you looking just for the size of the panel or just a high pixel density?

Do you want all of the adjustments of a professional display?

Are you concerned with input lag/ low response times of IPS panels?

To me 23"/24" is the sweet spot for FHD. 27"/28" for QHD and +28" for UHD (with scaling) until you get to ~32".

The AVMA seems like a decent deal, but really only if you need the features that drive the price up over $200

I want good color and response and more over that a large screen. I can fit up to 32 inch on my desk. If I could get a 26-32 inch monitor on my desk, that would be good (the larger the more ideal is). QHD sounds nice, but when watching 1080p content on it anyways I realize it won't make a difference. I do, do some moderate gaming and that's where it sounds like a sweet deal getting QHD but I want to get good bang for the buck
