Looking for a good dual band wireless N adapter

I'm in the market for one of these, and I was wondering which I should look into. I have a dual band router, and I'm going to be using the adapter on a Windows desktop PC running XP.

Does it matter much which adapter I purchase? I just want to be careful that I'm not getting screwed.

Right now I'm looking at a Medialink Wireless N USB adapter on Amazon (150 Mbps, 802.11n, 2.4ghz, and compatible with 2000, XP, Vista and 7, which is important to me). It's about $20. Would this be a good choice, or am I just overthinking it?

My first instinct would say no. Looks cheap, although I definitely could be wrong, never heard of that brand before. On consumer networking I tend to go between US Robotics, D-Link, Linksys and Netgear. But that's just from my own personal experiences...

Thank you for your input! Would you recommend some specific products that have worked well for you? I'm now looking at the ASUS PCE-N13.

EDIT: I was also wondering if it would be a better idea to look into an internal PCI-E network card rather than a USB adapter. Are these internal cards demonstrably better than USB?
