I just want a card that will allow my connection to max out while downloading and uploading, but like i said above not be pci-e. and preferably be below $40. but if what i need is more, of course post it anyway.

Why do you think you need a new network card? What internet speed are you paying for and what are you getting for internet speeds? Do a speedtest here.

i may have misworded. I need a wifi card, that can do 12-18 down and 1-2 up. the last one i bought is a POS and i need some advice as to what i should be buying.

Ok, thats makes sense now. However, it all depends on how far away you are from the router and what your signal quality is. And it may help to know what wireless card you had before.

thats the thing, i didnt have a card. enless a $5 rosswell usb counted. im probably 30 ft from the router itself, also one floor above.

i agree that that would be a good router but again, i should be telling the whole story. i have a laptop and i bridged the networking card on here with the Ethernet slot on the side so i can plug my computer into it and get internet (and it works great with the router i have, i just want to give my laptop a break). like i said in the title, i dont think i can use a pci, because my graphics card is over most of the slot. i dont think it will fit. is their any type that would plug in the Ethernet slot?

No, there is no adapter that will fit in an ethernet connetion. The bottom pci slot should be open for the wireless card.

ill post a picture when i get home and you can be the decider. imo their is no room. but i guess ill leave it up to an expert. along with if i really did put one their it would completely block airflow for my graphics card.
