I was looking for a book that covers a lot on building/repairing/updating computers...or a book that will explain how everthing works in detail such as the RAM, CPU, BIOS, Buss, Cache, and so forth...something that I can learn how everything works and matching all the components to get the best system performance...I was looking to get the book Upgrading and Repairing PCs (17th Edition) by Scott Mueller ISBN: 0789734044...I've heard they call it the PC bible...let me know of any good books or if this book is worth buying...thanks for the help

IN addition to books, you may keep yourself up to date by reading up the monthly issue of Computer Magazines such as PC Authority, PC Pro, PC World etc. :D

I have a copy of PC Upgrade & Maintenance Guide by Mark Minasi, It is VERY thick and explains everything you want to know about hardware! It sits on my desk and I refer to it when I want to know something.
The book you mention is excellent also. If I had a choice , I do not know which one I would choose.
I got Mark Minasi's book because it was from the Computer Book Club as a joining present.
