I'm, putting together a a part list for a XP(32 bit)/Vista(64 bit) dual boot gaming rig. I want to make sure that my parts are all going to work well with Vista, and the video card is one of my most difficult choices. Here's what I got so far:

EVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor (Though, I think I actually will go for a 6400 and save a hundred bucks)

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

What do you think so far, and what card(Or cards, if you think SLI is the way to go) do you think will work best for me? Will DirectX 10 work with the card(s)? Also, I won't just be doing gaming, but also some video editing/photoshopping.

i would get 2 geforce 8800gts and run them in sli if u have the power supply but if your worried about money the geforce 8600 should be comming out soon and priced alot lower

If I wait for the 8600 Ultra and get two of them and run them in SLI, where will the performance for that be compared to one 8800gts?
