looking for a new ATX case

Yeah it's a good case, it's also one of the most expensive cases made by a big brand there is. Full atx? Do you mean xl atx, e atx, or ATX? Look at NZXT, Cooler master, Corsair, and antec. In that price range, also look at danger den, case labs (case labs is pretty much the best cases), and mountin mods.

He is on that large of a budget, and you recommend that. It's like the had 912, it's a okay case. You can get MUCH better, the antec has a silver inside, is cheaper quality than many, etc.

Silver does not effect everyone. I understand how aesthetics are important, but not to everyone and is sure as hell not a reason to not get a case.

That being said, it wouldn't be on the level as the Cosmos. I'd go with a 800D over the cosmos if you want the PSU compartment separated from the rest of the system.

But even that is overkill for an aircooled system. Yes, it'd be the choice for a watercooled system, but for air, I'd get one of the lesser Corsair or upper coolermaster cases.

I like that Cosmos II. I kinda wish it had a window stock on the side panel because it makes it look even better. But if you want a big case for the full atx motherboard, I'm sorry but I'm definitely recommending the Corsair 800D. I own one, I modded it to my specific preferences and its just awesome. A little heavy though.

Just because he has a huge budget doesnt mean he needs a huge effin case...i have one and frankly it sucks...really does, if the 1100 was around when i was buying a case, id probably have ended up with that over the 1200...its just a much better nicer case...cable management...drive rails, filters that dont take screwdrivers to get at...

and there you go dissing stuff you never owned...how about using something before saying nay or yay on it? seriously sick of it...+

Hey he's the one who suggested getting a Cosmos II which is a pretty big fricken case. So I just suggested the 800D instead. I just feel that if your gonna dish out a nice price for a case, you might as well buy something with less plastic and something more elegant per say.

I HAVE owned a Antec 300, very similar to the 500, just worse cable management, I put together a build in one. I didnt "diss" it, I just said if he has a big enough budget, he doesn't need to go with a case that isn't to good. And, a mid tower has a VERY hard time with a e atx board, that's why most don't support them.

basing your opinion of a manufacturer off a entry level gaming case...not a good way to start :D the 302 and 1100 are much better cases...and you dont need a full tower case to accomidate a extra two inches in a motherboard....the 1100 would handle eATX fine. I still dont understand spending extra money on a case when it could be spent on things that actually improve performance, like a heatsink or a better graphics card... also keep in mind the larger the case is, the harder it is to reach a power cable from the bottom mounted power supply to the top of the motherboard for the 12V cpu power header...

how easy is it to get the bottom fan filter out? i hear its a pain due to being behind the unit, the 1100 its on the side, locks in or can just be left unlocked, easy as pie to remove.

Its somewhat of a pain. I don't really car much bout it though. Mine clean always. haven't seen to much dust on it.

But on another hand, I like that Switch 810 but in white.

The antec 300 is the best. I got mine for 40 bucks, got my buddy to cut a chunk out of it and bam, first an nhd14 and a 580 with a custom cooler.
