Looking for a new GPU

Hey guys,

I am in the process of building a new PC. It is going to be towards some gaming and video editing. I was looking at the ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2070 but I have been hearing some issues with them basically they are not lasting long after using them. What are your thoughts and maybe any other suggestions?

The rumors regarding higher than average failure rates were unfounded. It was media hype.

What games do you plan on playing and at what resolution? What refresh rate does your monitor have?

What will you be editing?

Games is going to be a mix really and the monitor right now has 60 hz and 1920x1080. After this computer build my next step is a better screen with higher refresh rate for sure. And I will be editing videos with Adobe Premiere Pro work stuff.
