Hello, i'm looking for a new laptop. I'm in US so only US stores please. I have no budget so i'm open to everything. I've had great experience with Samsung and Asus so i'm mainly looking for one of those brands. However i'm open to all other brands that meet my requirements below. I dont really like Mac laptops so please dont offer them. I'll be using it mainly for browsing the web, listening music, watching movies, video editing, photoshop and programming on it.

Requirements that i want the laptop to have are:
1. 15" - 15.6" screen
2. Full HD 1920x1080 screen
3. To be slim as possible but it has to be a notebook because i need an optical drive on it.
4. i7 processor
5. 500GB + hard drive
6. Nice audio sound because i'll be connecting it with my home theater at home.
7. For an OS Windows 8.

So far i'm looking at those laptops below:

1. http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/laptops/NP700Z5C-S01US-specs
- On this one the resolution is 1600 x 900 :( though

2. http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/laptops/NP700Z5C-S04US-specs
- On this one is also 1600 x 900 :(

3. http://usa.asus.com/Notebooks/Multimedia_Entertainment/N56VZ/#specifications
- This one i'm asumming it is 1920 x 1080

The problem with the above laptops is that i cant really find them online. Any help is appreciated. Also pros and cons on them are also appreciated.

Any other suggestions are also appreciated.

Thank you.

Have you not considered a Mac Air?

I used to only be a PC user but made the move and the Mac Air has been my best purchase, very mobile and has an SSD which makes start up incredibly fast!

The Lenovo seems to have everything i need however isnt it a bit huge? I'm looking if its possible to be slim as possible. Although i'll keep it in mind if nothing else comes up. Thank you.

The Mac that you suggested does not have an optical drive and i really need a laptop that has one. :)

Any other suggestions?

I just want to see all my options before i purchase one.

I would have suggested a ROG model but they are much bulkier. I have a gigantic spreadsheet of ASUS parts so please feel free to abuse me for information.

laptop suggestions

you didnt mention your budget but I took the liberty of assuming you are looking for a laptop anywhere between the $800 - $1100 price range, which is where you can find models that befit your preferences. Here are a few suggestions:

http://wuggee.com/laptop/asus-n56vj-dh71.html
http://wuggee.com/laptop/lenovo-ideapad-y580-59353260.html
http://wuggee.com/laptop/msi-g-series-ge60.html
http://wuggee.com/laptop/asus-republic-of-gamers-g55vw-dh71.html

all are i7s and have full HD resolution...Good luck :)
