Looking for a printer

We currently have an HP printer with a scanner purchased about 3 years ago. My mom was looking for ink and for color and black&white it is about 40 dollars. A new printer is about 50 or 60 dollars so why not just buy a new one? If we do is there any one where we can get the ink cheaper when we run out?

I recommend getting a b&w laser printer. Iv installed Dell 1720s they print really fast, and the toner lasts along time.
