I would like to complete my Vista themed XP by getting a Vista sound scheme to replace the XP default sounds. Does anybody know of this? I tried looking around the net, but all I found were bad links to nonexistent downloads.
The limited number of wav files found in Vista is nothing to worry about. Most will sound very familiar with the exception of a few. One Vista sound pack found will automatically overwrite the existing wav files found in the "C:\Windows\media\" folder. You may want to copy those first to a temp or storage folder before using the download link seen at http://themes.belchfire.net/index.php?download=5212
Over the years I made quite a collection of wav files and backed them up on data cds and the eventual data dvds to come later. Simply running a search for free wav files will turn up tons of links like the one seen at http://www.thefreesite.com/Free_Sounds/Free_WAVs/
