Looking for advice

Hi there, I'm in the process of building a new computer and I'm looking at processors and need some help. I'm currently looking at four processors and I'd like it if I could have you guys list them in the order from best to worst, I'd like information as to why the order you put them in and not just " INTEL FOREVER!!1! <33" for example :)

I'm debating between;
Intel I-53570K
Intel I-2500K
AMD FX 8150
AMD FX 4170

So lets here your thoughts!

Oh, also, I already have my GPU, a Gigabyte HD 6850, so let that be known. I'm not sure if its better to go all AMD/Intel or if its alright to mix.

your list is right, i5-3570k, then 2500k, then fx8150, then 4170. Intel is just better, the architecture they use is faster and it does more instruction sets per cycle, and the GHz is how many cycles it does. If you were looking for the best priced one, then the 4100 isn't bad, but i think the i3-2100 is a little better stock, but the 4100 can easily be overclocked to 4.5ghz and kill the i3, which can't overclock well. and a 6100 is a little better for not too much more.

Check microcenter.com and see if you live near one, they got good deals on processor/mobo combos.

I'd go for the i5 3570K. Newer chip than the 2500K and overclocks just as well. I have the 2500K and it's a great chip, but the 3570K has a newer architecture and a smaller die-size and better onboard graphics etc.

INTEL FOREVA!! <3 :P joking of course, I'm not a fanboy.

If I didn't live in Canada I would definitely try microcenter out, but alas as I do, I can't.

I'm looking at getting the i5-3570K, what is the best motherboard that is around $100. I would love to get a Asrock Z77 Extreme4 LGA but the cheapest I can find is $139.99. Which isn't too bad but when you have a $720 bugdet the two items combined eat a huge chunk away >.<

if this is for a gaming machine i'd get either a fx-4100 with a good cooler and overclock or a i3-2100 and put more into the other parts if that is your budget. If you don't have a build thread here then put one up, they can help you get the best performance for your money.
