Currently my network runs 6 Hyper-V Machines and I may be moving to max 12 in the next few years. I've been looking at CloudBacko and Symantec's backup Exec or whatever it's called. I haven't had any experience in using this kind of software, but at first glance CloudBacko option looks to cover more of what I'm looking for. I don't yet have a quote for it. Can anyone recommend which one is best, or perhaps another solid program?

Looking for best Hyper-V backup solutions

I am running both CloudBacko and Symantec backup exec for backups for multiple clients with different configurations. Out of both backup software I have to babysit backup exec on multiple server every other day to insure that it is still running correctly, and that no services have randomly stopped, or a job has failed. CloudBacko on the other hand runs just fine. If i had to pick I would go with CloudBacko hyper-v backup.

Have a look at Altaro Hyper-V Backup - they're specialized in Hyper-V and don't charge much considering what you get.

Another solid program is BackupChain. You may find that the programs out there differ significantly in how costs increase over time when you have more VMs and more servers....
