Looking for knowledgable advise

Yesterday, I recieved all my computer parts from newegg. The parts I purchased where:
Biostar TPower X58a
Core i7 920
Corsair 850TX
MSI r4890 VGA
Western Digital 1tb wd100fals
and a DvD drive and Lian Li case.
ocz platinum ddr3 2 x 2gb
I plugged all the connectors up. When I hit the power button it seems to boot up then immediately stops. The ddr_v_1 led is lit. Everything else is off.

What could be causing this. This is my first build, so it could be something simple.

what kind of RAM are you using?
 
look through the motherboard manual, some boards are a little bit pissy about which slot the ram is placed in
 
Manual says to fill atleast one number two slot. So this isn't the problem cause mine ocupies slots 1 and 2.
 
Problem solved. Turns out that my lian li aluminum case was causing my board to short somehow. I put it back on the foam and it's working fine. Thank you all for your help. :D
